Dr. Don Buford is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and founder of Texas Orthobiologics, where he provides comprehensive orthopedic diagnosis and treatment options including both surgical and non-surgical approaches. With over 25 years of experience in Dallas, Dr. Buford has been repeatedly recognized by area physicians as one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the region. A Stanford and USC alumnus who also played professional baseball in the Baltimore Orioles organization, Dr. Buford completed his medical training at UCLA School of Medicine and orthopedic residency at UT Southwestern. He furthered his expertise with a sports medicine fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI). Dr. Buford serves as the 2025 President of the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation (IOF), his second term in this role, and is on the Board of The Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) for 2023-2026. Since 2008, he has served as Director of the MSK Ultrasound and Orthobiologics Course, training over 1600 clinicians in advanced ultrasound techniques. His practice philosophy emphasizes maximizing quality of life through the safest, least invasive, and most effective treatments available.
